The Seeley G. Mudd Manuscript Library honors the classes of 1940, 1950, 1960, 1975, and 1980 in its annual alumni exhibition, running from now until June 30th in the Weiss lounge entitled Just for Princeton, the exhibition captures the spirit of Princeton in these years as well as the colorful traditions of reunions. Visitors can tour the exhibition Monday through Friday between 9 AM and 4:45 PM and until 8 PM on Wednesdays. The Library will also be open on Saturday, May 27 from 9 AM to 1 PM as part of reunion weekend celebrations. The 1951 Bric-a-Brac honored Coach Charles Caldwell 25 who coached five Princeton football teams to six championships in his 11 years as coach (1945-1956). In addition, photographs featuring Adlai Stevenson, Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and Herbert Hoover, and the 1950 Class photo are on display. |

In 1969, Princeton University admitted women. Since that change, womens athletics have flourished. Carol Brown 75, featured here, was a member of the undefeated 1973 womens crew team. She went on to win the bronze medal in the womens eight crew team at the 1976 Olympics. Other photographs of athletic victories celebrated by the Class of 1975 and a look at Triangles Future Schlock are also on view. |
The Seeley G. Mudd Manuscript Library was completed in 1976. It was the first building on campus constructed according to the new energy efficiency standards triggered by the oil shock of 1973. Images from Triangle productions and a bell clapper, similar to the one stolen by the Class of 1980 in record time, are also on view. | |
